TallyLog Privacy Policy

TallyLog is published by Calm Horizon Co. LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

The short version

TallyLog does not have a server. We do not collect, receive, or store your data. Everything the app records stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account.

What the app stores

TallyLog records the information you enter about your work: shows and their dates, times and networks; the tally shots you log, including their start and end times; the names of people on your crew; and the aircraft you fly. It also stores the display name you give yourself when you first open the app.

This information is written to storage on your device. It is never transmitted to Calm Horizon Co. or to any third party we control.

iCloud and sharing

If you are signed in to iCloud, TallyLog uses Apple's CloudKit service to sync your data between your own devices and, when you choose to share, with the people you share with.

Data synced this way is stored in your personal iCloud account and in Apple's infrastructure, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot see it, and we have no access to your iCloud account.

When you share a show or a team, the people you share it with can see the information in it. That sharing is under your control: you choose what to share, with whom, and you can stop sharing at any time. A show you do not share stays private to you.

A join code you create is stored in a public area of the app's CloudKit container. A join code contains only a link to the thing being shared. It does not contain your name, your shows, or any of your logged data.

Calendar

If you grant calendar access, TallyLog can add your shows to your calendar and keep those entries up to date. It reads and writes only the events it creates for this purpose. Calendar access is optional and the app works without it.

Photos

If you save a stats card to your photo library, the app requests permission to add that image. It does not read your existing photos.

Analytics and tracking

TallyLog contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not use third-party SDKs that collect data about you.

Children

TallyLog is a professional tool and is not directed at children.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its data from your device. Data synced to iCloud can be removed in the iCloud settings for your Apple Account. If you have shared with others, ask them to leave the shared team or show, or stop sharing from within the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
